Fast and easy makeup is what we all yearn for when we have busy lives. Especially when you become a mom, beauty takes a backseat to everything else! We often don’t get to shower or eat like normal people, let alone slowly blend in our eyeshadows.
However, feeling pretty is still essential. We were once women before we became selfless moms who cared about how we looked. None of that is dead now that we have little lives to worry about. So, I’m here to share some of my daily beauty staples. I keep it very simple by using products that are multi-purpose, quick and easy to apply.
Not only is this is a must because it protects your skin while you’re running your kids around town or playing in the backyard, but because it’s a 2-in-1 product. It’s sunscreen with a tint to help provide light coverage when you don’t have time for the whole foundation, concealer, and baking shebang. I’m currently using Marie Veronique Everyday Coverage Tinted Sunscreen and loving it! It doesn’t feel heavy on the skin and evens out the tone for a fresh, natural look. Another one I’ve tried and recommend is Josh Rosebrook Nutrient Day Cream Tinted.
Chances are if you’re a mom, you’ve had your fair share of sleepless nights. Since we can’t ever seem to catch up on lost sleep, concealer is a quick fix for those dark undereye circles. My two favorites are Hynt Beauty DUET Perfecting Concealer and W3ll People Bio Correct Concealer. Both are easy and quick to use with natural coverage. They don’t feel heavy on the skin and do not irritate my eyes.
Kjaer Weis makes a stunning cream blush. The sleek, glamorous packaging and the creamy formula are perfection in my opinion. I have two shades- Abundance and Embrace, and enjoy them both. Embrace is more of a cream to powder formula that gives a matte finish, while Abundance has a slight shimmer/glow finish. You could even use these on your lips!
My barely there lashes definitely require a good coat of mascara. It really helps make me look more alive and emphasize my eyes. I think fresh skin and mascara are probably the two spots to focus on your face to look alive and refreshed. I’ve tried many clean mascaras, but a couple that I like are W3ll People Expressionist mascara and Hynt Beauty NOCTURNE mascara.
If you don’t have time for ANY makeup and you want to look like you have your life together- throw on some lipstick! The key is to add color to one spot on your face, whether it’s the eyes, lips, or cheeks to brighten up your face. There are tons of green beauty lipsticks out there, but a couple of my favorites are Karen Murrell and Axiology.
