How many of you love Valentine’s Day for the fun fact that you get to put on extra makeup? For my Valentine’s Day look I wanted to create a soft smokey romantic look with a classic light pink glossy lip. I love a bold red look as well but for me, Valentine’s is more soft and romantic.
Here’s how I created this look.
First, I spritzed my face with the Teri Miyahira Radiant Beauty Mist to amplify any moisture lost during cleansing. Then, I applied the MOA Aphrodite Facial Oil to help keep my skin feeling supple and moisturized. Next, I used my Fitglow Beauty Redness Rescue Cream on my cheeks to even out my skin tone. Lastly, I applied the Hynt Beauty Sun Prep Sunscreen because you can never forget that step!
For my foundation routine, I used the Gressa Skin Corrective Serum Foundation in 1.5 using a large oval face brush. I then applied the Hynt Beauty concealer in Fair under my eyes and on my eyelids applied with a beauty blender. I dabbed all over to make sure that everything is nicely blended and evened out.
For my cheeks, I applied Tata Harper Volumizing Lip and Cheek Tint in Very Charming on my cheeks and then Jane Iredale pressed powder in Warm Silk to set everything. I then dabbed a spot of Zuzu Luxe blush in Nymph just on the apple of my cheeks to make them pop.
I love to contour, so I used the Teri Miyahira Sculpting Powder in Focus to contour lightly and then applied the Lily Lolo Bronzer in Miami Beach just where the sun would naturally hit my face to warm up my face.
We can never forget the highlight, so I mixed my Johnny Concert eye shadow in Lust Dust with the Teri Miyahira Illuminating Powder in Lucky to highlight the top of my cheeks, down the bridge of my nose, and the inner corners of my eyes.
For my eyes, first, I used the Teri Miyahira Illuminating Powder in Lucky again all over my lid. Second, I used the Red Apple Lipstick eye shadow in Beachy Keen on a big fluffy brush throughout my crease as my transition shade. Third, I then mixed together Red Apple Lipstick’s Sugar & Spice and Yes You Canyon on a smaller blending brush and put that in my crease as well. Fourth, I used Hynt Beauty Rosy Velvet eyeshadow in the outer V. Fifth, I used Red Apple Lipstick’s That’s my Jam! And Vamp to add some purple tones to my outer corner.
For the smokey part, I lined my lash line with the dark brown shade from the Teri Miyahira Harmony palette, but any dark brown will work. Then, I smudged it out with a small stuff brush to give it a smokey look. I used the same technique on my lower lash line.
