Summer Date Night Look (Melt-Proof)

Summer is becoming a beast and while we want to spend time outdoors, there’s a true issue of our makeup melting off! Date night becomes a challenge because it’s still 80+ degrees in the evening and what’s a girl to do!? Here are my melt-proof trips for summer date nights. You might still get sweaty and some makeup might dissipate (we’re not using permanent paint here, folks), but you won’t look like this below. Hope you like the tips and find them useful.

Skin Prep

I start prepping my skin with Amazonia Skincare Active Reversal Treatment Daily Wrinkle Serum followed by Pistaché Skincare Eye Serum. I never leave the house without applying sunscreen and my top choice for hot summer days and nights is Suntegrity Natural Moisturizing Face Sunscreen & Primer. The last step to my skin prep is to apply the 100% Pure Mattifying Primer to really help make this look melt-proof!

Base & Face

For my base, I use Nu Evolution Complete Coverage Foundation in 106, I chose this one because it has great staying power and has a matte finish. For concealer, I used my ride or die, Hynt Beauty Concealer in Light to get rid of any dark circles and to brighten my under eye area. Next, set with my Jane Iredale PurePressed Base SPF 20 powder in Warm Silk, this has a little SPF so it’s great for the Summer! Lastly, set my T Zone with the Olga’s Organics powder in Light as this really helps combats any oil and helps my makeup stay put.

For my face color, I warmed up my complexion with the new Terry Miyahira Beauty Bronzer in Explore (another option is Clarity), I love that this has a subtle shimmer to give some glow back to my skin after using mattifying products. For my cheeks, I used Seraphine Botanicals Depth-Enhancing Plum-Gold blush with the new Teri Miyahira Beauty Limited Edition Illuminator in Seek (alternative shade in Ambition) on top (I’m obsessed with this color, you’ll see) This is a great blush topper to add a nice glow and a great highlighter for my darker skinned ladies. To highlight my face I used the Teri Miyahira Beauty Illuminating Duo in Brilliance, I used the lighter champagne shade.

Eyes

On to the eyes, I primed my lids with Erin’s Faces Eye Primer, to really make my eyeshadow crease proof and pop a little more. I once again used the Teri Miyahira Illuminator in Seek (alternative shade in Ambition) all over my lid. You guys need this in your life, this rose gold shade, I want to bathe in it! Then, I applied Hynt Beauty eyeshadow in Winter Cocoa with a flat defined brush to the outer corner of my bottom lash line and to the outer-V area of my eyes. Next, I took a fluffy brush and blended it out with the same bronzer I used to bronze my face (Clarity). For mascara, I used the Sappho New Paradigm Vegan Mascara in Black. The more I use this the more I like it. I can wear this in Vietnam humidity and to the gym and it doesn’t smear! To open up my eyes a little bit I lined my water line with Pacifica Cosmetics liner in Bare. Last but not least, I filled in my brows with Ecobrow in Marilyn.

Lips

I lined my lips and filled them in completely with Bite Beauty Lip Pencil in 002 and topped it with Erin’s Faces Mineral Lipgloss in Enchanted.
