If Trader Joe’s started charging membership like Costco, I’d pay for it in a heartbeat. Trader Joe’s is a staple in life, if not life itself when you just can’t deal with grocery stores or Whole Foods (hey, we love Whole Foods too, but we also like to save money for things like when we break toes). I realized yesterday why I love Trader Joe’s so much and it has to be in this order: coffee samples where they don’t even care if you sample it twice, the super nice people who work there, and the selection of everything you really need to feed a family.
To pick the top 5 natural products at Trader Joes, it required me to take a trip there “just to look” and then I ended up spending a good $45 dollars for this week’s meals. Here’s the list of things you’ve got to try if you’ve never tried them before! Please note that there are no links available to purchase via the internet and that is because the people who work at Trader Joe’s actually like to see other humans. So, please view the photos and burn them into your memory for the next time you go to TJ’s.
Trader Joe’s 100% Organic Argan Oil
Trader Joe’s is seriously beefing up their beauty section. They have more and more products every season that reminds me I don’t need to spend a million dollars at Sephora for things like argan oil. This bottle I believe is a good $7 dollars and it’s organic. I don’t know how you can beat that and it’s also cold-pressed.
Trader Joe’s Organic Virgin Coconut Oil
Coconut oil, for most people, does everything and anything for the skin and life besides babysit. Most of us also know that coconut oil when it’s organic AND virgin can be very costly. Trader Joe’s sells a jar for under $10 and it’s just as amazing as the other, more virgin, coconut oils out there.
Trader Joe’s Nourish Enriched Intensive Antioxidant Facial Moisturizer
Word on the street is that Trader Joe’s skin and hair products are ACTUALLY the same formula as the high-end, high price tag products you see at department stores and other fancy natural online shops. Since TJ’s keeps their products they directly use the formulations from top, top secret, we can only speculate. However, this moisturizer has been a staple in my home for the last few years and the kids love it. It’s effective, moisturizing, doesn’t smell like things kids don’t like, and I love it because it works extremely well for something that costs only $6.
Trader Joe’s Natural Dog Treats, Assorted Flavors
TJ’s also has dog and cat treats and food that are either all natural or organic. The pricing again is amazing! Charlie is a picky eater and he has yet to turn down anything from TJ’s!
Trader Joe’s Micellar Cleanser & Makeup Remover
For $4, a sample of free coffee, really pretty flowers for the best prices in town, I’m going to tell you that you also need these makeup remover wipes. I’ve been through some wipes in my day and some have amazing packaging and others I felt I needed to buy because everyone else was using them. No fuss, no mess, no money spent on “packaging”, and this actually works tremendously well.
Like I said earlier, Trader Joe’s has earned my trust and loyalty because of their budget-friendly pricing, family friendly (they have those little carts for little kids to ram into everything and everyone and no one ever flinches, thank you people of Trader Joe’s), gorgeous flowers, coffee samples, pet goodies, baby goodies, and tons of human goodies. I absolutely love the variety and selection they carry. Plus, all the “new” things they have all the time that I end up having to buy which end up being delicious. They also carry Tom’s of Maine deodorant and toothpaste. I love they try to keep with their brand while being very selective of bringing in mainstream organic/natural products to be apart of their store. If you love TJ’s, too, we want to know your hands down favorite items!
